GITA JAYANTI CELEBRATED VKAJ ITANAGAR

Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti, Itanagar celebrated Gita Jayanti on 22nd December, 2013 at Vivekananda Hall, Ramakrishna Mission Hospital. The program started with three Omkars followed by “Shanti Mantra”. The students of V.K.V. Vivek Vihar chanted the slokas from Gita for Daily Life. After this, a Quiz Competition was conducted on Gita by Shri Akal Bayor, Vivekananda Youth Prayer Centre, Pramukh, Itanagar, which the participants took part very enthusiastically. Suryanamaskar Display by the students of  V.K.V. Chimpu. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kesang Wangdi, ENT specialist, Heema Hospital, Itanagar, appealed the audience to imbibe the message of Gita in practical life, through which true development of personality comes. Continuing the discussion, Dr. Ashok Kumar Pandey, Proff. Dera Natung Govt. College and Prabudha Bharat Pramukh SVSSS Itanagar,  stressed the importance of Gita and said that it can be the solution for every problems of life. He further added that great personalities like Mahatma Ghandi, Shri Aurobindo Ghosh, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, Albert Einstein and many more were influenced by the teachings of Gita. Shri Kalyan Dutta, Mahanagar Pramukh Itanagar, introduced various activities of Vivekananda  Kendra in Arunachal Pradesh & Vote of thanks by Shri Tara Dajam, Nagar Pramukh, Itanagar.

Medical camps Oranised by Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti

Dec 6: The mobile medical team of Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti (VKAJ) organised few medical camps in epidemic affected villages under Longding district recently.
Over 367 patients were examined and medicines distributed free of cost to the patients during medical camps organized at Niausa and Senua villages on December 4 and 5. Rapid Malaria Tests (RMT) was also done on 67 suspected patients during the medical camp.
A similar medical camp was also conducted by the same team at Longliang village of Lazu circle of Tirap district today and treated 67 patients. De-worming medicines were also distributed to 41 children.
Later, the team visited the Govt. Residential School of Barap and treated 18 sick students. A health awareness meeting was also conducted by the team where the Doctor interacted with the students. He gave more emphasis on personal hygiene to remain healthy.

Medical Camps Organized by VKAJ


Medical Service Forum of Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti recently organized four medical camps in Changlang district from 23rd November to 26th November. The camps were organized at Longkey,Bubang, Sohelaktong and Chingsa villages of Khimiyong and Changlang circle. A total 371 patients were examined and free medicines were distributed accordingly to the patients.
