Focus: Emphasis on fundamentals of education right from
pre-primary onwards. Strengthening education and educational atmosphere
at grass root level, reduction in drop-out rate, habit formation,
discipline, involving parents in children's education. The BALWADIS of
Vivekananda Kendra is aimed at providing pre-primary education with
emphasis on creative learning through play-way methods. It also helps
the parents develop a positive thinking on educating their wards.
- Impacts :
- Periodical training camps and monthly meeting for Acharyas of Anandalayas and for Balsevikas of Balwadis have helped to upgrade their knowledge, to develop confidence and their over-all personality.
- The interest for girls' education has gone up amongst the people of Lajo (Tirap District), where the gender gap in education has been very high.
- A mobile Library Cum Audio Visual Van provided its services to the students and villagers of interior villages.
